1. Who We Are

VitaTrail is an AI wellness companion that helps users organize health records, understand wellness trends, track concerns, and manage family care permissions. In this Privacy Policy, "VitaTrail," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the VitaTrail mobile application and website.

2. Scope

This policy explains how VitaTrail collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile app, website, support channels, AI analysis, health record vault, daily logs, subscriptions, and family sharing features.

3. Important Health and Medical Boundary

VitaTrail provides educational wellness information and organizational tools only. VitaTrail does not diagnose disease, provide medical treatment, prescribe medication, predict death, or replace advice from licensed healthcare professionals. If you have urgent symptoms or a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately.

4. Information We Collect

AI and support interactions Questions, prompts, uploaded report text or images sent for analysis, feedback, corrections, and support messages. Answer questions, extract structured data, improve safety controls, and provide support.
Subscription and purchase status Product ID, entitlement status, renewal state, receipt or purchase token handled by Apple App Store or Google Play. Provide premium features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and support billing questions.
Device, diagnostics, and usage data Device model, operating system, app version, crash logs, performance data, coarse usage events, IP-derived region, and security logs. Reliability, debugging, security, abuse prevention, compliance, and product improvement.

5. Permissions

VitaTrail may request camera access to scan health records, photo or file access to import reports, notification permission for reminders, and health data permissions only if you enable related integrations. You can change permissions in your device settings. If you deny a permission, related features may not work.

6. How We Use Information

  • Provide account login, profile, health vault, daily logging, AI companion, concern tracking, family care, and subscription features.
  • Extract and organize health markers from uploaded records after user action.
  • Generate educational, non-diagnostic explanations and vitality trends.
  • Show why a result may need attention and suggest safer next steps such as rechecking a value or discussing it with a clinician.
  • Maintain family permissions, access logs, managed profiles, and revocation controls.
  • Provide customer support, security monitoring, fraud prevention, analytics, crash reporting, and legal compliance.

7. AI and OCR Processing

VitaTrail may use third-party AI, OCR, cloud hosting, or document processing providers to extract text from uploaded reports and generate summaries. AI outputs can be incomplete or inaccurate. Users should review extracted information before saving it and should consult qualified healthcare professionals before making medical decisions.

We do not permit AI providers to use your health data for third-party advertising. Production service contracts should restrict providers from using health data except to provide the requested service, unless you separately consent.

8. How We Share Information

We do not sell health data. We do not use health data for third-party advertising. We may share limited information with:

  • Cloud hosting, database, storage, security, and backup providers.
  • AI, OCR, and document processing providers used to analyze records and answer questions.
  • Authentication providers such as Apple or Google when you choose those sign-in methods.
  • Apple App Store, Google Play, or subscription infrastructure for purchase validation and entitlement management.
  • Crash reporting, analytics, customer support, email, and operational vendors.
  • Family members or caregivers only when you invite them, approve their request, or create a managed profile for them.
  • Legal, safety, or compliance recipients when required by law or necessary to protect rights, users, and security.

9. Family Sharing and Managed Profiles

If you share your health data with a caregiver or family member, they may see the records and insights allowed by your permission level. You can revoke access. If you create a managed family profile, you are responsible for having the appropriate authority or consent to upload and manage that person's information.

10. Retention

We keep account and health data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Deleted records are removed from active systems within a reasonable period, typically up to 30 days, unless a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, backups, tax, accounting, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. Backup copies may take up to 90 days to expire.

11. Security

Health information is sensitive. VitaTrail is designed to use encryption in transit, encryption at rest for production storage, short-lived file access links, access controls, audit logs for family sharing, and least-privilege internal access. No system is perfectly secure, and you should protect your device, account credentials, and shared access permissions.

12. Your Choices and Rights

  • Access, review, correct, export, or delete your records where the app provides those controls.
  • Delete uploaded files, extracted markers, daily logs, and family profiles.
  • Withdraw family sharing, revoke caregiver access, or remove managed family profiles.
  • Change device permissions for camera, photos, files, notifications, Apple Health, or Health Connect.
  • Request account and data deletion through the app or the public deletion page.
  • Contact us to exercise privacy rights available under your local law, such as GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws.

13. Children

VitaTrail is not intended for children under 18 and should not be used by children without appropriate guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children where prohibited by law. If you believe a child provided information, contact us.

14. International Transfers

If you use VitaTrail outside the country where our providers operate, your information may be processed in other countries. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law, such as contractual protections for international data transfers.

15. California and Similar Privacy Notices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain processing, or limit the use of sensitive personal information. VitaTrail does not sell personal information and does not share health data for cross-context behavioral advertising.

16. HIPAA Notice

VitaTrail is generally a consumer wellness application and is not itself a healthcare provider, health plan, or healthcare clearinghouse. Unless we separately enter into a written agreement stating otherwise, VitaTrail is not acting as a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate. You should not upload information you are not authorized to share.

17. Changes

We may update this policy as the product, legal requirements, or service providers change. Material changes will be communicated through the app, website, email, or other appropriate notice.

5. 权限

6. 我们如何使用信息

  • 在用户主动上传后,从健康记录中提取和整理指标。
  • 生成健康教育性质、非诊断性的解释和活力趋势。

  • 维护家人权限、访问记录、代管档案和撤销控制。

7. AI 与 OCR 处理

VitaTrail 可能使用第三方 AI、OCR、云服务或文档处理服务,从上传报告中提取文字并生成摘要。AI 输出可能不完整或不准确。 用户应在保存前检查提取结果,并在做出医疗决定前咨询合格医疗专业人士。

我们不会允许 AI 服务商将你的健康数据用于第三方广告。正式生产环境的服务合同应限制服务商仅为提供所请求服务而处理健康数据,除非你另行同意。

8. 我们如何共享信息

我们不出售健康数据,也不将健康数据用于第三方广告。我们可能在以下情况下共享有限信息:

  • 云托管、数据库、文件存储、安全和备份服务商。
  • 用于分析记录和回答问题的 AI、OCR 和文档处理服务商。
  • 当你选择 Apple 或 Google 登录时,与相应身份认证服务商处理登录信息。
  • Apple App Store、Google Play 或订阅基础设施,用于购买验证和权益管理。
  • 崩溃报告、数据分析、客服、邮件和运营服务商。
  • 仅在你邀请、同意请求或创建代管档案时,与家人或照护人共享。

9. 家人共享和代管档案

如果你将健康数据共享给照护人或家人,对方可能看到你授权范围内的记录和解读。你可以撤销授权。 如果你为家人创建代管档案,你应确保自己有适当授权或同意来上传和管理对方信息。

10. 保存期限

当账号有效或提供服务所需时,我们会保存账号和健康数据。删除的记录会在合理期限内从活动系统移除,通常不超过 30 天; 但安全、防欺诈、备份、税务、会计、法律义务或争议解决可能需要更长时间。备份副本最长可能需要 90 天过期。

11. 安全

健康信息属于敏感信息。VitaTrail 的生产环境应采用传输加密、存储加密、短期有效文件访问链接、访问控制、家人共享审计日志和最小权限内部访问。 没有任何系统能保证绝对安全,用户也应保护设备、账号凭证和共享权限。

12. 你的选择和权利

  • 在 App 提供的范围内访问、查看、更正、导出或删除记录。
  • 删除上传文件、提取指标、日常记录和家人档案。
  • 撤销家人共享、取消照护人访问或删除代管家人档案。
  • 修改相机、相册、文件、通知、Apple Health 或 Health Connect 等设备权限。
  • 通过 App 或公开删除页面请求删除账号和数据。
  • 根据当地法律行使访问、更正、删除、数据可携带、反对处理或限制敏感信息使用等权利。

13. 儿童

VitaTrail 不面向 18 岁以下儿童,儿童不应在没有适当监护人参与的情况下使用。我们不会在法律禁止的情况下故意收集儿童个人信息。 如果你认为儿童向我们提供了信息,请联系我们。

14. 跨境传输

如果你在我们的服务商运营国家之外使用 VitaTrail,你的信息可能会在其他国家处理。我们会在法律要求时采用适当保护措施,例如跨境数据传输合同保护。

15. 美国加州及类似隐私通知

根据所在地不同,你可能有权了解、访问、更正、删除、获取可携带副本、选择退出某些处理或限制敏感个人信息使用。 VitaTrail 不出售个人信息,也不将健康数据用于跨场景行为广告。

16. HIPAA 说明

VitaTrail 通常是一款消费者健康管理应用,本身不是医疗服务提供者、健康计划或医疗信息交换机构。除非我们另行签署书面协议, 否则 VitaTrail 不作为 HIPAA 覆盖实体或商业伙伴。你不应上传自己无权分享的信息。

17. 政策变更

当产品、法律要求或服务商发生变化时,我们可能更新本政策。重大变化会通过 App、官网、邮件或其他适当方式通知。
